Last year’s inflation level in Ukraine was 13.7%

In 2017, inflation level in Ukraine amounted to 13.7%, while prices at the consumer market in December of 2017, compared to the previous month, increased by 1% and for the whole year – by 13.7%, writes Agro-Center.

Prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages grew by 17.7%, for clothing and footwear – by 0.9%, for housing and communal services – by 10.6%, for health care services – by 7% 5%, and for education services – by 14.9%.

The inflation level is much higher than the National Bank expected. Initially, they predicted 9.1% and later, in October, – 12.2%.

Let’s recall that in 2016, inflation level was 12.4%, in 2015 – 43.3%, in 2014 – 24.9%, in 2013 – 0.5%, in 2012 – deflation at the level of 0.2%.
