It is legal to grow cannabis in Ukraine if you have a license.

However, this was not the case. In the village of Ternovka of Berezneguvatsky district, the man grew cannabis between sunflowers on a 12-hectare fieldbetween sunflowers. For a better harvest, he created an irrigation system. According to the farmer, he grew cannabis for his own needs. But police plan to check this statement by looking for possible sales outlets.

In the warehouse, there was a 30-kilogram harvest of cannabis. It was sent to the laboratory for examination. The estimated cost of the harvest is about half a million hryvnias.

Currently, there is an ongoing pre-trial investigation. If found guilty, the farmer will be imprisoned for up to 5 years.
