An Egyptian company will build a new plant for fertilizer production in Ukraine
“Abu Qir Fertilizers” is the largest Egyptian fertilizer supplier in Ukraine. At the moment, the company is planning their next project – a construction of a second ammonium nitrate plant, writes “Agro-Center”.
“Abu Qir Fertilizers” plans to build a new small plant that will produce ammonium nitrate. The project is currently in the process of obtaining approvals.
It is planned that the new plant will be able to process up to 210 thousand tons per year. The construction is scheduled to take 28 months. Ammonium nitrate will be produced from raw ammonia which is exported.
“Abu Qir Fertilizers” is well known in Ukraine. In 2018, the company’s fertilizers are very popular. Among the company’s products, Ukrainians have imported urea and urea ammonia mixture most.
Ukraine used to import 69% of all fertilizers from Russia. Nowadays, farmers are looking for a replacement for Russian products. Therefore, fertilizers from Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, and other countries are gaining popularity.
