Farmer from Kyiv Region Forged Documents to Get Ownership of Land

Vasylkivsky department of the Kyiv-Svyatoshinsky local prosecutor’s office reported that a farm owner is suspected of committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, writes “Agro-Center” with a reference to Glavcom.

By using forged documents, the head of the farm tried to ger ownership of a state-owned land plot with an area of 35 hectares. The land plot is located on the territory of the Barakhtyansky village council.

At the farmer’s request, he was provided with forged documents necessary for the registration of private land ownership. Later, the man reported the loss of the original document in order to renew it.

According to the requirements of the legislation, an extract from the State Land Cadaster about the land plot and a copy of the state act on the right of private ownership, in this case, acted as official documents, which gave the right for further official state registration of the rights to the land plot. The man took advantage of the situation and provided the state registrar with deliberately forged official documents.

In this way, the farmer got the ownership of the land plot. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
