For import: Ukrainian eggs are conquering foreign markets

Eggs from Ukrainian poultry farms will be exported to Morocco and Malaysia. The State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection of Ukraine and the competent authority of the Kingdom of Morocco signed a veterinary certificate on the export of Ukrainian egg products, writes “Agro-Center”.

In 2018, 14 982.1 million eggs were produced in Ukraine. It is by 3.3% more than last year. The most actively Ukrainian eggs were imported by Qatar, Iraq, and the leader among the importers – the UAE.

Previously, Ukraine and Tunisia agreed on a veterinary certificate on the export of Ukrainian poultry meat. In general, in 2018, Ukraine has received veterinary certificates for the export of poultry meat and egg products from Albania, Ghana, Morocco, Hong Kong, Tajikistan, and Turkey.

Volodymyr Lapa, head of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, said that in 2019-2020, 24 more countries plan to open their markets for Ukrainian poultry products.

Today, most eggs in Ukraine are produced at large enterprises. Agricultural enterprises produced 8081.3 million eggs, while individual farms – 6900.8 million eggs.
