McDonalds Burger Was Stored for 10 Years and Didn’t Go Bad (Photo)
Hjøthur Smartson from Iceland decided to put “McDonald’s food doesn’t decompose” myth to the test. Ten years ago, he visited the last McDonald’s restaurant in the country shortly before it was closed and ordered a burger and French fries. He put the food under a glass cap and started to observe it, writes “Agro-Center”.
The live video of the burger and French fries has been broadcasted for 10 years now, showing the decomposing process, or rather, its absence, in this case.
In 2012, Smartson handed the hamburger to the National Museum of Iceland, but a few years ago the museum returned the gift – unpleasant smell of old French fries scared away visitors. The burger and French fries were moved to Reykjavik, to Snotra House. Judging by the photos, the “food” hasn’t changed much over the past 10 years.
