The German government plans to increase imports of agricultural products from Ukraine – an agency is being created
The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany is currently developing a concept for the creation of an agency for the export Ukrainian products. This agency will work with farmers who already have export experience, writes Agro-Center.
First of all, we’re talking about manufacturers of fruit and berry products and planting material. In particular, recently there was a meeting between an AFCI consultant Felix Villegem who represented the government of Germany and chairman of the Ukrsadprom Association Dmitry Kroshka.
The participants of the meeting discussed main aspects and problems of increasing the volumes of export of Ukrainian agricultural products to the countries of Europe. The solution to those problems lies in the creation of an export agency. It will significantly increase the presence of Ukrainian products on European markets.
It is not the first step taken by the Germans to help increase the export of Ukrainian agricultural products. This year, Germany will invest €3.2 billion in infrastructure, waterways, seaports, and agriculture. These funds will be invested in Ukraine despite a high level of corruption.
