The Ministry of Economy wants to restore the operation of food markets during quarantine

The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture believes food markets should be open during the quarantine.

Comment: “We are in favor of not restricting the activity of food markets. Also, it is important to include the sale of seeds, plant protection products, seedlings, and veterinary products in this,” said Taras Vysotsky, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture.

Details: The Ministry of Economy has no intention of suspending the activity of food markets during the quarantine.

Agricultural and food companies will also operate during the quarantine. Vysotsky explains that they very important for food security, so their activity will not be restricted.

He added that there are no preconditions for limiting agricultural exports at the moment.
