An urban farm: the Japanese have created an office with a rice field and vegetable plantations (photo, video)

Japan is an amazing country where agriculture in the city is getting popular. Tokyo, one of the most densely populated cities in the world, where almost 40 million people live and actively develop urban farming, writes Agro-Center.

It is the office building of PASONA GROUP.

A vertical garden that frames the building is very beautiful. However, the main attraction is hidden inside. There is a rice field in the lobby, and in the conference hall tomatoes growing in pots hang from the ceiling. Brochures on the production of various crops can be found in leisure rooms.

In general, the building has more than 4000 square meters of cultivated area. In addition to the vertical garden, the workers grow more than 280 types of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers.

The rooms for the cultivation of crops are equipped with the most advanced technologies in order to maximize an economical use of electricity and water. Office employees are glad that the food they buy in the dining room was grown in the office. They happily spend their rest hours working in a rice field. More than 80% of employees believe that such urban farming motivates them to get to work as fast as possible every day.
