Ant business: Former military man sells ant farms (photo)

A former participant of fighting in Donbas Alexander Ivanitsky breeds ants and sells ant farms. The cheapest farm costs one thousand hryvnias. These are bought for children as well as serious businessmen, writes “Agro-Center” with a reference to “Donetsk Novosti”.

“I got the idea from the TV show “Alf” and thought the product might be in demand,”

said the man.

The ant farm consists of an insect colony and formicarium.

“At first, we made formicarium from glass. Then realized that it was not very safe and switched to plastic”

said Alexander.

The man sells ant farms and teaches people to care for the insects.

“Ants don’t cause allergies and teach children responsibility,”

the former military man explained his business choice.
