Agrarians of Mykolaiv region made 102 million dollars

During January-July period of 2018, agrarians of Mykolaiv region managed to export 1.6 times more oilseed crops than last year, writes Agro-Center.

The results of exports during 7 months of 2018 were summed up in Mykolaiv region. In January-July 2018, regional enterprises managed to export 102 million dollar’s worth of oilseed crops. It is about 260 thousand tons.

Soybeans and legumes accounted for 66% of exports, which is 175 thousand tons, worth 68 million dollars, 31% – 80 thousand tons of turnip seeds, worth 32 million dollars. Other exported products included sunflower seeds, hemp seeds and various seeds for sowing.

Let’s recall, that Ukraine exported 114.5-115 billion hryvnias worth of sunflower oil last year. In 2018, sunflower oil export indicator was 11% higher than the previous season. This year, about 5.9 million tons of oil was exported.
