Farmers in Prykarpattia suffer from pest infestations
On the territory of Snyatinsky and Tlumatsky districts of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, caterpillars that cause significant damage to the leaves were found, writes “Agro-Center”.
“In relation to this, it is necessary to examine soy, sunflower, beets, bean, pea, tomato, apple, grape crops, and possibly many others. Afterward, farmers need to inspect them regularly for a few days,”
is stated in the report.
The employees of the service noted that in order to get rid of the caterpillars, insecticides should be used in accordance with the list of pesticides and agrochemicals allowed in Ukraine.
Also, farmers were warned that weather conditions require special attention and that it is necessary to strictly adhere to the rules of safety and sanitary and hygienic requirements when working with agrochemicals.
