Quarantine: Prices for Buckwheat Increased by 50% and for Potatoes – by 60%
Recently, the Antimonopoly Committee has recorded an increase in prices for food.

Comment: “In recent days, we have seen an increase in retail prices for some products. The Antimonopoly Committee records these facts by conducting price monitoring throughout the country, analyzing press reports and appeals from citizens to the AMCU bodies,” said the press service of the Antimonopoly Committee.
Details: The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has recorded a rise in retail prices for food in some regions of Ukraine during quarantine due to the coronavirus epidemic.
The AMCU has seen a significant increase in prices for vegetables – prices for potatoes went up by almost 60% and prices for onions and carrots doubled.
It is also noted that in some regions (not specified which), since the beginning of March, prices for buckwheat increased by more than 50%, for millet – by 24%, for sugar – by 16%.
