Details: Deputy Director of the National Science Center “Institute of Agrarian Economy” Mykola Pugachev named 10 countries that bought the most Ukrainian grain in 2019.
The largest importers of Ukrainian grain:
Egypt (purchased grain for $1311 million, which is by 97% more than in 2018) – the share of total export of this type of agricultural product was 13.6%.
China ($859 million – by 56% more than in 2018) – 8.9%
Spain ($765 million – by 19% more than in 2018) – 7.9%
Turkey ($718 million, compared to $184 million in 2018) – 7.5%
Bangladesh ($421 million) – 4.4%
Israel ($317 million) – 3.3%
Netherlands ($624 million)
Indonesia ($538 million)
Tunisia ($293 million)
Italy ($283 million)
In 2019, Ukraine imported a record amount of grain worth $9.6 billion.
