Ukrainian Farmers will Harvest Double Crops in 2020
Farmers from the Dnipropetrovsk region predict that this year’s warm winter will allow farmers to harvest double crops.
“Agro-Center” tells more about it.
Details: Warm winter will allow farmers to harvest double crops of vegetables as early crops such as onions and carrots have already been sown in southern regions.
However, unlike grains, vegetable crops don’t depend on the moisture in the soil because the farmers control this factor (many have established drip irrigation).
It should be noted that receiving double crops will have a positive effect on the prices for vegetables. Prices for domestic vegetables can already be compared with prices for imported ones. For example, foreign garlic costs on average 75 UAH/kg, and domestic – 44 UAH/kg.
