Ukrainian Honey Was Checked for Counterfeit
The results of the inspection of Ukrainian honey have been published.
“Agro-Center” tells more about it.
Commentary: “The honey inspection is a continuation of the anti-counterfeit initiative, and I thank the public for their support of this project. According to the results, there are no threats to people’s health,” wrote Taras Vysotsky, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, on his Facebook page.
Details: The results of laboratory testing of 29 samples of honey, selected by groups of experts at markets, fairs and supermarkets within the “STOP Counterfeit” project, have been published.
Of the 29 samples, 22 weren’t good: 5 contained antibiotics, 12 were not honey but sugar syrups, and most samples did not match the declared honey grade.
At the same time, 7 samples proved to be completely natural honey and met all quality criteria.
The next product to be tested for counterfeit is soy sauce.
