Which countries import most Ukrainian fish? (infographic)

In 2018, the export of Ukrainian frozen fish increased by 43%. During just 10 months of the current year, 511.9 tons of Ukrainian frozen fish worth $ 1.1 million were exported, writes “Agro-Center” with a reference to “UkraineFood”.

Compared to last year, not only the volume of export changed, but also markets that import the product. In 2017, 60% of exports were to CIS countries. In 2018, 66% of frozen fish was exported to European countries.

“Such growth is due to the focus of Ukrainian producers on more marginal world markets,”

reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

 

 According to the results of 2018, the most fish was exported to Germany – 110 tons, to Hungary – 126.6 tons, to Moldova – 112 tons, and to Azerbaijan – 62 tons.

Ukraine exported 54.2 tons of trout worth $ 259.1 thousand, 44.4 tons of carp worth $ 126 thousand, 30.3 tons of zander worth $ 120.8 thousand, 12.2 tons of wels catfish worth $ 8.7 thousand, 11,9 tons of herring worth $ 13,8 thousand, 11,8 tons of merluccius worth $ 24 thousand, and 10 tons of sardines worth $ 10 thousand.
