Stickers that extend the shelf life of fruits for 14 days were inverted in Malaysia

Manufacturers and sellers of fruits have been looking for ways to increase the short shelf life of fruits. Business in Malaysia has found a solution to this problem. The “Stixfresh” company invented a unique sticker that can extend the shelf life of fruits for two weeks, writes “Agro-Center”.

Stickers are made of organic materials and are suitable for various fruits – apples, pears, avocados, dragon fruit, kiwi, mangoes, citrus, reports zerno-ua.com. Sodium chloride and beeswax are among the ingredients. The sticker slows down the maturation process by removing ethylene, as well as preventing mold.

It should be noted that last year another “Stixfresh” office was opened in the US. It is the first step that will allow the company to enter the western market.

In the future, the company will develop stickers that extend the shelf life of vegetables and berries.
