32 Thousand Salmon Escaped from a Private Farm

More than 32,000 salmon escaped from a private farm through gaps in a fence in Chile, writes “Agro-Center”.

In the morning, numerous messages about fish in a local lake appeared on the Internet. On October 1st, 32,485 salmon escaped from a farm in the city of Calbuco in southern Chile.

It was established that salmon escaped through gaps in a fence. After the event, the owners installed additional fences.

It is not the first time salmon “ran away” from a farm in Chile. In 2018, about 900,000 salmon escaped from another farm. This caused great damage to the environment because salmon feed on smaller fish and crustaceans.
