Famous Sheep Record-Holder Passed Away
A sheep named Chris became famous for being the “hairiest” sheep in the world. A Merino sheep died of old age in Australia, writes “Agro-Center”.
The sheep was first spotted in the wild in 2015. Her wool was completely overgrown, which threatened the health of the animal.
She was given a haircut by a national sheep-shearing champion Ian Elkins. Her wool is displayed at the National Museum of Australia.
The sheep’s death was expected, as the average life expectancy of this breed is 10 years.
