British Couple Grows Furniture in Their Garden (Photo)
A British couple arranged a garden where trees grow in the form of chairs and tables, writes “Agro-Center” with a reference to “Agro Yug”.
Gavin and Alice Munro are farmers. They set up a “furniture factory” in their garden in Derbyshire. The couple grew their first plant in the form of a piece of furniture in 2006. Nowadays, more than two hundred chairs grow in their garden.
Such furniture is considered environmentally friendly. One such chair grows about 6-9 years. One chair costs 12,000 thousand dollars. Despite the price, there is a demand for this eco-friendly furniture.
The technique of shaping the trees was used in ancient China and Japan.
The couple also grows chandeliers and tables. In the future, they plan to expand the range. For example, Gavin and Alice want to grow a large dining table.
The couple wants to protect forests from destruction.
