The Cabinet of Ministers Adopted a Decree That Establishes the Rules for Organic Production

The press service of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture announced that the Cabinet of Ministers had adopted a decree that establishes the rules in the field of organic production in Ukraine, writes “Agro-Center”.

The decree aims to ensure the efficient functioning of the organic produce market, as well as to create transparent conditions for conducting business activities in the field of production and circulation of organic products.

The decree sets out detailed rules for organic farming, animal farming (including specific requirements for poultry and beekeeping), mushroom farming, aquaculture, seaweed production, food and fodder production, harvesting herbs, as well as exceptions and rules for concurrent and simultaneous production, storage, transportation and labeling of organic products.

The new rules in the field of organic production should help reduce the level of the pollution of air, water, and land with synthetic substances.
