1156 horsepower for harvesting fodder (photo, video)

1156 horsepowers – that’s what the most powerful forage harvester in the world, Krone big x 1180, offers, writes “Agro-Center”.

This machine is way better than 680, 780 and 880 models. It consists of a Liebherr V12 unit with a capacity 24.24 liters; the same unit is used in most powerful series John Deere 9000.

The BiG X models are equipped with an SCR emission cleaning system and meet Stage V or Level 4 emission standards.

Thanks to the OptiMaxx system with a 250 to 305 mm diameter rollers, the harvester performs a specified amount of work by 20% faster than its analogs. In addition, the combine is equipped with rollers with metal detectors, which prevent an entry of foreign objects into the crushing drum. The combine is equipped with teeth of different lengths, 125/150 for medium cutting lengths, or 150/175 teeth for short and medium cutting lengths.

The quality of grain is significantly influenced by the speed differential between rollers. It ranges from 30% to 50%.

The Big X 1180 can handle up to 100 kg of material per second.

Among other benefits, we should mention that intervals of maintenance are 1000 hours, and Cab Lift cabins can rise above the high corn.
