Ukraine “buried” Europe in eggs
Earlier this year, Ukraine became the largest egg exporter to the EU with a 38% share, outrunning the USA, writes Agro-Center.
According to the European Commission, in January of this year, the EU countries bought 874 tons of Ukrainian eggs and egg products, which is several times more than in January last year. Ukrainian supplies surpassed even ones of the United States. It contributed to the fact that at the beginning of the year Ukraine was the largest exporter of eggs to the EU.
It is noted that a Ukrainian holding company for the production of eggs continues to implement an investment program in Stavyshynskyi district of Kyiv region and plans to produce 2 billion eggs each year.
Let’s recall that Ukraine’s agrarian exports to the EU countries increased by 30%.
