A tractor that runs on batteries: the first electric tractor was developed in Turkey

A fully electric tractor was developed in Manisa. The tractor’s prototype samples are ready for serial production. It will be able to work for 8 hours, writes “Agro-Center”.

The first electric tractor was presented at a rally in Maniza Alaşehir by Bekir Pakdemirli, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, in Turkey.

“Our farmers complain that diesel fuel runs up”

Bekir Pakdemirli said that they had finished working on a domestic electric tractor and created a prototype:

“Our domestic and national tractor will work 8 hours a day on one charge. Our prototypes are ready for production. We will test the first serial tractor in Alashehir.”

Pakdemirli also shared about their intention to develop a larger-scale production of electric tractors.
