An ocean without garbage: Ukrainian developers designed a garbage processing plant that will work on the board of a ship.
A team of developers from Nikolaev “NiceCube” designed a unique waste recycling plant right on board of a ship. The project is designed for the British eco-company Ocean Polymers, writes “Agro-Center” with a reference to “BUSINESS”.
The new plant will be located on the old ship and equipped with a special plasma machine for pyrolysis. Garbage will be recycled by thermal degradation, the “dissolution by fire” of organic and inorganic substances for the intensive cleaning of marine areas.
“Such ships will swim across oceans, rivers, and even lakes,”
said the authors of the project.
The developers said that a ship will collect plastic and other garbage, dry, chop and prepare it for further transformations. Recycled rubbish will be stored as pure synthetic gas used as fuel for the ship.
“Our technology allows to eliminate expensive assembly and transportation, providing significant savings during operation and at the same time reducing carbon dioxide emissions. By using Plasma Enhanced Melter technology, we will produce valuable products, such as synthetic gas, liquid fuel, and solids,”
said a representative of Ocean Polymers.
