A farmer from Zakarpattia collected the first crop of frost-resistant kiwi

Henrich Straton, who is famous in Zakarpattia, collected the first crop of frost-resistant kiwi. According to the scientist, the new variety can withstand frost up to 22 degrees below zero, writes “Agro-Center”.

The first fruits weigh only 40-50 grams. However, it is still early to say that this is the characteristic of the new variety. It will become known next year. Henry Straton believes that the formation of the variety is influenced by the conditions of development, soil, pollination, and age of a plant.

Kiwis of the new variety are different from the usual ones in terms of taste.

Previously, the scientist impressed everyone with his experiment on checking frost resistance. He posted a video on his Facebook page where he checks the strength of plants.

Kiwi plantation in ice glaze. Verification of viability. Subtropical comfort is not a concern for my kiwis,” said Henrich.
