Honda’s High-Speed Lawnmower Has Set a New Guinness Book Record

The new record for the fastest and most functional mower in the world is now 242.99 km/h, writes “Agro-Center”.

The new Mean Mower V2 lawnmower with 999 cubic centimeter Honda Fireblade engine accelerates to 160 km/h in just 6.29 seconds. It is a new world record!

Jess Hawkins, an experienced racer and karting lover, was behind the wheel of the mower.

The Mean Mower V2 follows the success of the original Mean Mower, which became the world’s fastest mower at 188.08 km/h on March 8, 2014. However, this time Honda has taken development to a whole new level by using automated design and custom parts made on a 3D printer.

The 999 cubic centimeter four-cylinder engine that offers 200hp at 13,000 rpm is in the heart of the Mean Mower V2.

To register in the Guinness World Records, the Mean Mower V2 had to not only be extremely fast but also prove that it could still fulfill its purpose – mowing the lawn. Therefore, the developers made room for two batteries to support the operation of an electric motor that powers two carbon-fiber blades.
