Environmental catastrophe in the Vinnytsia region: thousands of people were left without water (video)

In the Vinnytsia region, a car that transported hazardous chemicals crushed into the Ros River. The river was polluted with a ton of insecticide “Nurali B”. The polluted water “traveled” to the Kyiv region, writes “Agro-Center”.

“At the moment, special services are conducting tests and trying to localize a possible pollution zone,”

said a representative of the police in the Vinnytsia region.

Law enforcement officers asked locals to cease fishing, swimming, and grazing of animals in or near the Ros River.

“On the territory of the Pogrebishchensky district, fish and other inhabitants of the reservoirs died! After 10-12 hours, the insecticide will reach Bila Tserkva,”

said the Bila Tserkva district state administration in a statement.

Also, residents of the region will temporarily be left without water supply. According to the media, the water supply in the city will resume after the tests had been conducted. It is reported that more than 300 thousand Ukrainians will be without water because of the catastrophe.
