“Biofuels Only”: Gasoline and Diesel Won’t Be Used in Greece

Greece plans to completely let go of petroleum products in favor of alternative types of fuel.

“Agro-Center” tells more about it.

Details: Greece’s intention to abandon gasoline and diesel for heating and fueling vehicles by 2050 involves a long-term energy strategy that was explained on Tuesday in a public consultation with the Ministry of the Environment and Energy of Greece.

In the coming years, the Ministry intends to replace the use of gasoline and diesel with heaters (for residential areas) and electric/hybrid types of urban transport.

Bio-kerosene, biofuels, biomethane and natural gas will be used for airplanes, ships, and vehicles traveling long distances.
