Dandelion Jam, Cranberries with Cognac and Blueberries with Rum: Unusual Sweets from a Ukrainian Couple

A family-owned business “NECTARIS” expanded its product range and started making unique jams, writes “Agro-Center” with a reference to “SEEDS”.

The products are made by spouses Sergei Psarev and Victoria Pisana.

The idea to start a business came to life gradually. The family has an apiary and has been making cream honey with berries for a long time.

“At first, we added berries to our honey. We have access to good Carpathian berries, which we often collect ourselves. My wife started making jams. But it seemed kind of small to us so we decided to make unique jams: cranberry-cognac, blueberry-rum, and blackberry-whiskey.”

The couple also makes dandelion jam. Sergei and Victoria collect flowers themselves.

“We are not the only company that makes dandelion jam in Ukraine. But we are the only ones to offer such a great range. We collect dandelions for our jam ourselves in the Carpathians at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level.”

“People used to say that the flavor isn’t “dandelion” enough. Now our jam has the most “dandelion” flavor – it is finely diced flowers. But the jam isn’t bitter as one would expect.”

The couple spends almost all spring in the Carpathians, collecting dandelions and berries for their products.
