A pumpkin weighing more than a ton was grown in the United States

The largest pumpkin in the history of the country was grown in the city of New Hampshire. Steve Geddes has grown a pumpkin that weighs 2528 pounds, which is 1146 kilos, writes “Agro-Center”.

Thanks to the giant pumpkin, the farmer won the first place at the Deerfield Fair and received a prize of 6,000 dollars.

The giant pumpkin didn’t manage to beat the world record. According to an international organization that records pumpkin records, the largest pumpkin in the world was grown in 2016 by the Belgian Matias Vilemines. The New Hampshire vegetable is 76 kilos lighter than the world record-holder.
