A Ukrainian farmer grew a record sorghum crop
A farmer Yaroslav Bardin collected 14.43 centners of sorghum per one hectare of land. His crop war recorded in the book by the National Register of Records of Ukraine. Yaroslav says that he achieved this result due to the introduction of innovative technologies, writes “Agro-Center”.
Sorghum is a grain that grows well in a hot, dry climate. The seeds of this plant are very nutritious. Fodder mixtures made from sorghum are as good as those from corn.
Leonid Fadeev, the director of the “Fadeev Agro” plant, told about technologies that helped grow the record harvest.
“Thanks to an innovative approach to growing sorghum at the plant this year, we managed to get a record yield – 14.43 centners per hectare. This figure is officially recorded in the book by the National Register of Records of Ukraine, but is, in fact, a world record,”
said Leonid.
According to the farmer, the moderate diffraction technology of seeds is the future of plant growing.
“A strong seed is a heavy seed. Not damaged, large, calibrated by shape and size, processed against pests,”
added the farmer.
