Strange Shapes and Unusual Colors: A New Variety of Organic Tomatoes Hit the Market
Tomatoes of unusual shapes and colors were presented by the company “Wholesum”. The company grows organic vegetables in greenhouses and in the open ground in the United States and Mexico. The new line of tomatoes was named Heirloom, writes “Agro-Center” with a reference to FreshPlaza.
“Over the last year, we have tried many different varieties to select the best one. We loved improving them. I’m sure consumers will be impressed,” said Ricardo Crissantes, Sales Manager at Wholesum.
The main feature of Heirloom tomatoes is their extraordinary beauty, unusual shape, and vibrant color. What is more, these organic tomatoes have an exceptional taste and a much longer shelf life – up to 15 days. Heirloom tomatoes come in a variety of colors, including red, yellow, green and brown and have a taste that varies from spicy to sweet.
