The Dutch Company Presented New Heat-Resistant Strawberry Varieties

New delicious and heat-resistant varieties of strawberries were presented by the Dutch company Limgroup, writes “Agro-Center” with a reference to FreshPlaza.

“With this new variety, we will focus on the Mediterranean growing areas. In particular, Huelva, in the south of Spain and Andalusia,”

said Joss Aben, a product specialist at Limgroup.

The new variety has been tested in southern countries such as Spain, Italy, and Greece. It is planned to harvest 1 million plants in December.

“The goal was to offer Western European consumers delicious strawberries when they are not in season. The berries are of very high quality,”

said Joss Aben.

Limwalnera is a heat- and disease-resistant variety. Average berry weighs 30g. Yield is about 1 kg per plant.
