Farm Protests: Farmers Blocked the Center of Berlin
Farmers started a protest in Berlin. More than 200 tractors blocked the center of the city, writes “Agro-Center”.
The protest started at 9 am. But traffic jams were formed even earlier. The tractors drove downtown on four routes from the region. They moved from all major directions: north, south, east and west of Berlin.
More than 600 law enforcement officers were on duty at the scene. It is not the first time the demonstration took place in the city. In this way, farmers are responding to the government’s new agricultural package, which was presented in September. Agrarians believe that the measures will create additional problems. It should be reminded that the authorities intend to make the fertilizer use rules more strict.
