A Farmer Grows Purple Strawberries from Chinese Seeds

A farmer from the Turkish city of Eskil Hava Inank has been growing medicinal herbs for six years, and now she is also growing purple strawberries from imported Chinese seeds. An area of ​​0.4 hectares has been sown with purple strawberries. The demand for these special berries is increasing rapidly, writes “Agro-Center” with a reference to “Agroday”.

The woman visited many courses to learn more about greenhouse production. It was at one of the courses where she met a Chinese exporter who suggested that she experiment with purple strawberries.

At the moment, the farmer grows about one ton of berries a year. The price of purple strawberries is about 5 dollars per 1 kg.

One can buy purple strawberries in such Turkish cities as Kahramanmaras, Konya, Sivas, Istanbul, and Canakkale.
