Entrepreneurs from Zaporizhzhia grow and sell a superfood spirulina

The popular superfood spirulina is grown in Zaporizhzhia. Spirulina is considered to be one of the most beneficial algae. “Food Factor” is the company engaged in its cultivation, writes “Agro-Center”.

Before creating “Food Factor”, Alim Kunakh was engaged in the processing of cereals and oilseeds. The company plans to expand its range and grow microgreens.

“For a year and a half, with the help of scientists and specialists, we have studied spirulina and its beneficial properties. We were well aware that this product is popular overseas and we hoped that Ukrainians would also like to try it. We created our company “Food Factors” in 2016 and grown spirulina under TM “Spirulinka”,

said Alim Kunakh.

The entrepreneur also added that spirulina grows very quickly and regularly generates an operating flow. The harvest can be received in a month. At the “Food Factor”, spirulina is grown in bioreactors that maintain a special environment for algae.
