Bread with insects is gaining popularity in Europe
In Finland, one of the largest bakeries began to make bread with crickets. There’s a considerable demand for this product in the country, writes Agro-Center.
One of these loaves contains about 70 dried crickets:
“We love to try new things. This bread has a great taste”,
– says the head of the company, Markus Hellshtrom.
Bakers began to add crickets to improve the taste of bread. Besides, crickets are a good are a source of protein, fatty acids, calcium, iron, and vitamin B12. Such bread can be bought in 47 supermarkets in Finland.
