Farmers “grew” a giant portrait of Shevchenko from rice (PHOTOS)
Farmers in Kherson “grew” a portrait of Taras Shevchenko from rice and got into the National Register of Records of Ukraine, writes Agro-Center.
The area of the image is 1370 square meters. The portrait was created by sowing rice with black leaves on a green field in the Kherson region. The initiators and creators were scientists and breeders of the Rice Institute of Ukraine. They set a record in the “Science and Technology” category.
Last year, scientists “cultivated” a trident. The same farmers cultivated the emblem of Ukraine – a trident, from rice, though, it was much smaller than this year’s portrait of Taras Shevchenko.
