Ducks Were Allowed to Quack in France
A French court has ruled that ducks are allowed to quack in the city of Dax.
“Agro-Center” tells more about it.
Details: In France, a man sued a neighbor because, in his opinion, her ducks quack too loudly.
About a year ago, the man moved to Dax and purchased a house near a barn where the birds were kept. He complained to the court because the birds’ quacking didn’t let him sleep with the windows open. The plaintiff demanded immediate action to reduce the noise and 3.5 thousand euros in compensation.
However, the court ruled that the flock of about 60 ducks and geese was noisy within acceptable limits.
The farm owner Dominic Dute is pleased with the court’s decision because she didn’t want to have to kill her ducks.
