Paintings of a pig named PigCasso are sold for 4 thousand dollars (photo)

On a farm in the South African city of Franche-Comte, a pig named PigCasso creates incredible pictures. The unusual “artist” was rescued from being slaughtered when he was little. The owners immediately noticed PigCasso’s passion for colors and brushes, writes “Agro-Center”.

“Pigs are very intelligent animals. When PigCasso came to our shelter, we began to think about how to entertain him. We brought several football balls, and there were also brushes because the barn was built recently. After a while, we noticed that the pig had destroyed everything except the brushes. It was evident that PigCasso likes them,”

said Joan Lefson, the head of the Farm Sanctuary SA.

Once, the pig dropped a brush in a jar with paint and left a trace on the wall. That’s how we got our “artist”. PigCasso hols a brush with his teeth, throws his head back and makes bright and bold smears on a canvas. At the moment, he creates paintings that cost 4 thousand dollars. The money is sent to an animal welfare fund.

According to the workers of the shelter, PigCasso is the abstract expressionist: it is impossible to determine exactly what the pig wants to paint. However, Joan Lefson noted that the style of painting varies depending on PigCasso’s mood.
