Profitable business: how to make money on breeding geese in Ukraine?

Geese breeding business is underdeveloped in Ukraine, even though a demand for the product is high. At the same time, its rate of return is about 75%, and even a novice can handle this business, writes Agro-Center.

Geese meat is cheaper than beef in terms of the cost of production, and the selling price is higher, which speaks of the greater profitability of the business.

Geese gain a so-called selling weight in 3-4 months. It is possible to get 150-300 UAH fora goose that weights 4-8 kg. Moreover, one will also get about 0.6 kg of goose fluff to sell for about 200 UAH. Based on this, a farmer’s expenses can be returned during one year.

To grow geese, one will need an area of ​​150 square meters (for 1 thousand heads). The room must be heated, with a temperature not lower than 8 degrees above zero during the cold season. A poultry house should be dry and without drafts.

It is also necessary to take care of a reservoir – 200 square meters (for 1 thousand heads). If there is no reservoir on the site, it should be created and surrounded with lawn grass.
