Farmers from Sumy Region Plan to Transform a Berry Farm into a Place for Tourists

Nowadays, farming is no longer just a matter of profit. More and more owners are interested in eco-tourism. Ukrainian enterprise “Inberry”, which is engaged in growing organic berries, decided to transform their farm into a place for relaxation, writes “Agro-Center” with a reference to Agrotimes.

Inna Kolosok, Chief Agronomist at “Inberry”, said she got the idea from her Swiss colleagues:

“For example, I was interested in talking to the Swiss, for whom an organic berry farm is not just a commercial project. Organic farming is also clean air and a place for relaxation.”

According to Inna, “Inberry” has all the conditions to create a similar place in Ukraine.

“The territory of the farm is not only a work zone. There is also a recreation area, which is gradually being refurbished. We have preserved some pine trees, plan to build a gazebo and make this place even more comfortable.”

We welcomed our first guests this year. They were children. We showed them how blueberries grow. The kids were even allowed to pick the berries.
