Indian farmers suffer from parrots-drug addicts (video)
In the state of Madhya Pradesh, in India, parrots-drug addicts terrorize farmers. The birds are addicted to opium. They destroy poppy fields, writes “Agro-Center”.
Jerusalem Post reports it has been an issue since 2015. The farmers tried to fight back using speakers and firecrackers, but the birds always return. Farmers turned to the government for help after realizing that they cannot deal with this on their own.
“We have tried everything in order to make the birds fear us but they return every time, even if it means risking their lives,”
said one of the farmers.
